Clorofilla’s project

Our goal here at Clorofilla Is to offer your children ranging from the age of 6 months to 6 years old a play-based environment, in which they can become not only bilingual, but also allow their talents and personalities to emerge.

Courses

Bilingualism

Clorofilla Nursery School is a bilingual school, which consists in an educational team made up of native English speakers and bilingual teachers who give the children the opportunity to experience an international and multicultural context.

Together with Reggio children

Clorofilla was founded in collaboration with Reggio Children, whose ‘Reggio Emilia Approach’ is recognised as one of the best pedagogical experiences in the world.

Giovanna Gulli

Founder and Head of Clorofilla

With a professional experience in the field of research, Giovanna Gulli founded Nido Scuola Clorofilla with the aim of creating a school in Milan, which is based on the Reggio Children Approach; an open, inclusive school, which seeks to bring out every child’s potential. She loves sailing, skiing, and mountaineering. As a mother of three boys, Giovanna passionately devotes herself to Clorofilla, hoping it will be a welcoming school to those living in the community. She is the pedagogical coordinator of the kindergarten.

Monica Gazzola

Pedagogical Coordinator of the Nursery

With years of experience working with children aged 0-3, Monica Gazzola is the coordinator of the Clorofilla nursery. Monica has always focused her work on educational research, exploring the Reggio Emilia Approach with passion and interest. Aware of each child’s abilities and skills, and a great lover of children’s literature, Monica supports the team’s educational activities by listening, observing and building authentic, daily relationships with families, who are considered an integral part of the children’s growth.

Elena Pavone

Family Coordinator and Administrative Manager

Elena Pavone is responsible for relations with Clorofilla families. In partnership with the teachers and the coordinators, Elena supports, welcomes and guides parents through the different stages of their children’s lives, promoting dialogue, participation and shared educational responsibility. With a degree in Training and Education, Elena has found in Clorofilla an environment that welcomes and combines her interests for education and relationships. As a mother of two children, she has developed new perspectives on families, enriching her daily work with sensitivity, understanding and care. Elena also handles the administrative side of the school.

Morena Bruno

Head of Human Resources

Morena Bruno is responsible for managing, coordinating and supervising staff. Her role contributes to the well-being of the team and the quality of the educational experience, creating a solid and flexible structure capable of responding to the needs of the children and the staff who work with them every day. Morena also manages the office work, with a natural aptitude for organisation and a great passion for lettering and handcrafts. At home, she cultivates her love of cooking and wat

Chiara Sai

Atelierista

With a long experience working with children aged 0-6, Chiara Sai is responsible for the role of atelierista: a figure who supports the team, promoting the exploration of graphic- pictorial, material, sound and natural languages, contributing to the observation, interpretation and documentation of the children’s learning processes. She collaborates with teachers in planning research projects, supporting children in their investigative processes, respecting their pace, hypotheses and curiosity.

Chiara Bianchini

Cook

Chiara Bianchini is Clorofilla’s cook who, together with Jacques, Cecilia and Ivan, prepares lunches and snacks for children and adults. With experience in pastry making and running a vegan bistro, Chiara loves to bake and explore the endless possibilities of the vegetable garden, promoting sensory research and exploration of food as a language, recognising taste as a physiological, cultural and relational experience.

Matteo Tessera

Water Atelier Educator

Matteo Tessera, water atelierista, aquatics and swimming instructor, teaches the children daily in our swimming pool, where he leads the children in activities, exercises, and games that the children are enthusiastic about. He loves swimming in the sea, windsurfing and going out on his catamaran. Matteo takes the school’s older children every year on a special outing on the Dragonboat along Milan’s Navigli.

Teachers

Clorofilla teachers (Italian, native English speakers and bilingual) are qualified professionals, selected on the base of their educational qualifications. They work within an educational context based on listening, participation and the shared construction of knowledge, and accompany children in their processes of growth, learning and relationships, recognising them as competent individuals, bearers of curiosity, theories and rights. At Clorofilla, we welcome passionate, motivated teachers who are eager to get involved and explore together with the children.
Continuous training is provided in collaboration with Reggio Children, which supports the
team throughout the year.
